Ketosis vs Ketoacidosis (Keto Diet Dangerous?) – Which Is Better? Ketosis is not dangerous but Ketoacidosis is deadly. Many people put down, oppose, or hesitate the ketogenic diet because they believe that it can lead to ketoacidosis, a dangerous and even fatal condition. Nutritional ketosis, however has nothing to do with ketoacidosis. Nutritional ketosis is the opposite of diabetic ketoacidosis.
